5 – 8 year old girls and boys (school years 1 – 3)

Keas meet on Thursdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Scout Hall

A group of Keas, ages 5 to 8, learn how to care for a dog. They are stroking the dog's head.

Kea members belong to the first and youngest section in the Scouting family. Our kids enjoy coming along and learning by doing. Your child will be joining the fun by creating items, playing games with others of their age, experiencing adventures and having sleepovers at locations around Wellington. Keas are also encouraged to join in with our fun Paparangi Group camps.

Keas is a positive and engaging early Scouting experience, where the emphasis is on sharing and fun. The outdoor experience and indoor activities our youth receive are appropriately challenging and highly interactive, as they earn badges through the Kea Award Scheme.

Keen to join? Come along for a few nights and see if you enjoy it before deciding to join. The first month is free!

More about our fees can be found on our fees page.
