11 – 14 year old girls and boys (school years 7 – 10)

Scouts meet on Wednesdays at 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Scout Hall

Scouts take direction and show leadership in running activities including planning for weekend adventures. They participate in activities that lead toward achieving badges through the Scouting award scheme.

Paparangi Scouts have a very active annual schedule with ample opportunities for outdoor activities, including trips to the many serviced huts in nearby mountain ranges and regional camp grounds.

Some of the events and activities our Scouts enjoy include: visiting the local rock climbing walls, being part of team on a survival course, ski weekends, and geocaching. We also swim at the local pools, build and race Pinewood Derby cars, and participate in exciting annual mudslide days.

Paparangi Scouts contact Scouts from all over the world via radio and the internet, build and light campfires, and raft down rivers.

When you join our Scout group, you’ll become a member of a group called a ‘Patrol’. As a Scout you can have lots of fun, explore new things and make new friends. You’ll also experiment, accept and respond to challenges, and experience an adventurous Scouting life.

Keen to join? Come along for a few nights and see if you enjoy it before deciding to join. The first month is free!

More about our fees can be found on our fees page.
